RHETT DEIGHTON
Writer · Director · Producer
Creative Vision · Story Development · Narrative Strategy
Rhett Deighton is a filmmaker and strategic storyteller with a deep conviction that timeless narratives still speak powerfully into the world today. As Co-Founder and Creative Director of Aion Films, he leads the development of the studio’s original slate—writing, directing, and producing cinematic work that resonates across genres, cultures, and generations.
Rhett’s background spans screenwriting, direction, and high-level creative consulting, with early foundations in Australia’s film and television industry across documentary, independent film, broadcast, and commercial work. His training under leading screenwriting mentor Duncan Thompson helped shape a clear narrative instinct—one defined by structure, emotional intelligence, and restraint.
Since 2018, Rhett has also led a successful creative agency, consulting mid-sized businesses on how to use narrative, brand clarity, and communication strategy to drive measurable commercial growth. He brings that same precision to filmmaking—ensuring each project is both creatively compelling and built for meaningful impact.
As a director, Rhett is intentional and adaptive — shaping his visual and narrative style to suit the unique needs of each story. His work is marked by thoughtful choices that deepen audience connection and elevate the emotional and thematic core of the film.
